I asked a guy like this a question once. We were talking about how much he hated regulations. I said "so, if 3,000 people die because a product was toxic..." the words weren't even out of my mouth and he responded "then no one will buy that product anymore. See? Free market." My response was "How very Republican of you to be willing to sacrifice 3,000 of your fellow citizens for your stupid ideology." We haven't spoken since.

And I found that libertarian and republican are one and the same, I could not find any huge difference that jumped out.

I think the libertarian cult was created, maybe knowing republicans may become extinct at some point so the libertarian cult would immediately take over. I mean, who do libertarians vote for? Blindingly for any republican running for anything, so how does that make them any different?

They both idolize Ayn Rand, so again, how are they different?
