I don't want to seem too aggressive with people I don't know, but the facts are sometimes that way.

I have to say, you run a gentle style in the toughest of thread topics, and let everyone score their points. This is the first time I've had a fb friend I've never met, and I think I've lucked out.

6. Been debating on line for a long time, do my best

plant seeds, pick my points and fights each day and try to make it count. Lately it's getting the Bernie folks to accept Biden, it takes a light touch. Some will never get it but they're coming around. Trumpers are a lost cause. Ultimate goal is to save the country from a tyrant for my children and grandchildren.

Thanks for getting into the fray, I know it's tricky. Thank you for the nice words...it's a really, really tough time and it feels good to have a super smart political pal on my side that gets the seriousness, understands how to do this.

It is indeed, tricky, because I don't want to play bad cop to your good cop, just want to be myself.

The weaknesses are specifics of policy, anything with legalize and numbers. If you have a knack for any of those jump right in.

That guy you were going back and forth with, Jerry was a Bernie guy and he will probably vote for Biden in some capacity. In 2016 he traded his Jill Stein vote with someone from a solid blue state so he could vote for Hillary and bear to look at himself in the mirror afterward. He's a pain in the ass, very left wing bordering on conspiracy and thinks he's very clever. He's on my shit list so I've been ignoring him, was nice to see him challenged.

The other guy you were mixing it up with, Jay, was a Warren backer. He is a passionate Democrat and smart. Not sure why he felt the need to drill down so hard on the literal interpretation of Socialism but he quickly got on board with Biden. I'm a singer songwriter so most of my fb friends are musicians, sound guys or passionate music listeners. Almost all were Bernie or Warren supporters. I wanted Joe all along...just wish he was the Joe from a couple years ago but he's still got some fight.

When debating friends of friends I find a businesslike conversational approach keeps people from getting defensive, but definitely do what you do.
