2. If there is a beneficial side of this debacle...

it's the advances modern medicine will make against not only CvD-19, but viral diseases in general. We will probably end up with multiple vaccines against this disease, making it easier to vaccinate the entire human population over the coming years, along with effective methods to treat those already infected. We may be the last generation of humans who remember when if someone became infected with a virus, they either fought it off themselves or died and treatment post infection was primarily supportive. Our grandchildren will think that's as barbarous as leeches and blistering.
