6. if the New York Times could uncover this "price per US head" story then trump knew...

and because trump is a depraved narcissistic money-grubbing piece of garbage the very first thought that went thru my mind...he knew and was taking 10% off the top...how does anyone allow this story to become another "oh well, that's trump" Friday night news dump?...trump's daddy bought him out of Vietnam...too busy fighting the war on "not getting syphilis"...and yet he and his incompetent national security "team" let this slide because they had more important national security crap to deal with like putting babies in cages...

4. Nobody involved in that decision-making is ever going to publicly admit that's why they didn't tell

Trump. Which means it has no political advantage to our side if he didn't know. Even though, yes, it would arguably 'be worse'.

However if Trump really didn't know, he wouldn't be clammed up right now, he'd be loudly declaring on the Tweet machine and everywhere else that he wasn't told, and ranting about investigations into why he wasn't told, etc.

He knew.

He's hunkered down trying to figure out what his spin is going to be.

First order of business though I'd imagine is finding out 'who told' so they can destroy them. And assess what lies they may be able to get away with, considering the level of that person's knowledge (and perhaps actual evidence) of the situation.
