Full talk: The explanation starts at 11:45 Especially relevant is his mention of the big influencer.
It's worth noting that Qanon made their first post on 4Chan just one month later in October of 2017.

(36,160 posts)I can't answer your question except to say that he was one of Trump's "early adopters."
His going on and on about the 'good ol' American values he and the audience share is ridiculous in retrospect of his admitting to being a lobbyist for Turkey, bragging about his being the first U.S. officer ever allowed inside the headquarters of the G.R.U. And he even tried to go back for a second trip and invited G.R.U. officers to come to the U.S." After which Obama fired him.
Then he hypes the victim card over that, goes for the "lock her up" crowd deflection. He brags about his humble values and becomes a two-level sellout parents would disown. A real four-star asshole.

(2,626 posts)It just seems that what he calls an "influencer" and patriot on Twitter with 650k (it's at 15:12 on the video) followers would have been helpful in directing attention to platforms the campaign felt would be beneficial to them. Such as Q.
It might be too much of a stretch to imagine that Q's first post on 4Chan only one month from the time of Flynn's talk to the young people in this video is related. It just seems that it caught on so fast. If the campaign had an influencer willing to direct young right leaning people to 4Chan, it would have been a big boost and Q would take off immediately.
Q has captured the minds of a few people I know and it's very disturbing. I've been thinking about it a lot the last few days.

(36,160 posts)When you're conditioned by Russian message swarms and bot spreading, the 4Chan and Q fabrication isn't a bigger fish to swallow on the domestic end.
If there's a Q central that lists all the conspiracies it's spread, that would be useful.
Just as not all news is "fake," not all news is "Q."

(2,073 posts)Is just a natural outgrowth of the paranoid fantasies of "pro-life" anti-abortion activists. In their deranged minds, it's a very short step to go from being OK with aborting unborn fetuses to wanting to violate and eat young children.
