They glom onto a few words of a sentence or question that they can twist into some false impression

Ignoring the main point about the ramification of denying the severity of the virus causing Americans to also not take it as seriously as they should. And Governors. And instead focuses on the one part of Trump's response to defend him. "One day it will magically disappear" Of course one day, we expect, it will no longer be a threat. So she gloms onto that one truth, out of context. And Trump's cult will all nod their heads and agree that his is being very honest with them. And the fake news reporter is just trying a gotcha question.
