Suppose people of color were largely immune to the effects of COVID-19 and it was spreading like wildfire in the white population. Think the repukes would be so dismissive? Remember the Gloria Steinem quote : “if men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament”

5. Herd immunity equals genocide.

Can't argue with that!

So why is herd immunity mentioned at all?

Behind this genocidal idea lies a couple of assumptions:

1. If you catch it and die, it's an Act of God and punishment for past crimes.

2. If you catch it and die, it's because you are genetically inferior.

3. Republicans think and live cleanly, are the Righteous Inheritors of the Earth, so they won't get sick or die. But them Democrats . . . die already!

4. The Economy must be supported. Any number of deaths are acceptable, just keep that economy going!(*)

Underneath all those ideas for the herd immunity believers is the thought that OTHERS die, not them, or anyone they know.

So for some people, who think this virus is a form of SELECTIVE genocide, the idea of herd immunity makes perfect sense.

(*) Of course, the Economy is doomed to suffer if enough people die.
