I 'd love to see it happen. But we all thought maybe Texas would turn blue when O'Rourke was running for governor. But in the end Cruz won handily. There are just too many die in the wool Republican voters in Texas. A great many of them I suspect don't even watch or listen much to news, and definitely not a variety of news opinions. Fox News is about the extent. And even that only sporadically. All they know is they vote R, every time, no matter what. Just like their Pappy did and his Pappy before him.

Cruz only won by 2.6. In a non voting state. Remember Romney won Texas by 16 points in 2012. Trump got a little over half with 9 points. Hillary did a little better than expected.

Demographics and migration are happening here rapidly like Arizona, Georgia, and NC. It can be wishful thinking.

But Texas is gonna become democratic in the future. Whether it be tomorrow or 2022 or 2024.
