Though his friends and family were pretty worried for awhile. He was only diagnosed November 3rd I think he said.

6. We know that both he and Lawrence are good friends from having worked on the show

And the second video is of the other cast members wishing him well. Apparently Lawrence called them all to let them know he was going to be on the show and that they'd have a chance to speak to him. The other important point is that he actually knows Joe Biden and is going to be talking to him about his experiences.
