Every single Republican who didn’t speak out (99% of them) should have some epithets attached when they run for re-election:

He supported a coup to seat a dictator in the WH.

He thinks he has the right to have your vote simply thrown away like a used Kleenex.

In a moment unprecedented in American history, he stood and watched as his party tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election. In fact, he refused to publicly acknowledge the results of the election.

Wondering if charges of insurrection would have the same impact as calling the candidate a “socialist”. Probably not.

The time to have your “moment of clarity”, is before you helped plan to recruit, train, transport, and enter the bank with the intent to rob it.

Just cause you backpedaled back out because the cops arrived a moment after your hapless crew does not absolve you from the ensuing bloodbath.

His last sentence was magnificent. No, I don't agree with much or even anything Mr. Conway stands for as a conservative but there is no denying his hatred for what "his party" has become. I cannot believe that there isn't at least a slim majority of his fellow conservatives who do not agree with him. Pure cowardice on their part for not speaking out as he has. The republican party is in no way "conservative" anymore, its extremely radical and seems hellbent on a dictatorship. WE need more, MANY more of them to step up as had Mr. Conway and a few, very few others have.

but Trump is the king of unthinkable, and so many unthinkable things have already happened in the last 4 years, and this year especially.

So, all legal avenues have failed for Trump to overturn the election results. He has riled up his followers and cast doubts even in the minds of some people who did not support him. He has publicly called for "someone to do the right thing" in standing against what he calls a fraudulent election. His MO is to accuse others of what he is doing.

So what are the chances that he declares the Biden win an attempted coup and calls a state of emergency to prevent Biden from taking office, in the name of saving the country from a socialist takeover? If he does try to go that far, what do we do to stop him?

He would need a means of enforcing a state of emergency and the military would refuse to back him. So, would we ignore him and proceed with Biden's swearing in and then forcibly remove Trump?

has blown up in our faces, so I don't put anything past an authoritarian on the brink of losing power.

I always remember Mary Trump saying that in the Trump family it is worse to lose than to die, and that point is reiterated by authoritarian expert Ruth Ben-Ghiat in her new book Strongmen. That moment where power is, or could be, lost is, for them, the existential crisis of their lives.

trump is carrying out. He is conning his supporters into giving him money, trump knows he lost, he is just milking as much as he can to have some cash when he runs to Russia. Although as I have said before, I don't think Putin wants him in Russia, his usefulness has run out, he needs to find another country, something like Paraguay where I believe there is no extradition agreements with the USA.

They also need to press with the question about trump seemingly having some compromise material on the enablers, because I don't buy it for a second that these people are doing what they are doing because of belief, that in their heart they truly believe the buffoon won, they are simply trying to save their careers and some of them, I have to believe, are trying to stay out of jail because when the investigations get going there will be a lot of GOP people applying for asylum to Russia, they will learn what immigrants go through when they try to come to the USA. Wouldn't it be justice if Russia separated their families and caged all of them?

"fraud" talk has brought millions of dollars from his suckers and losers into his and his grifter family's coffers. It has been about the money and him trying to prevent his kneecapping because he was not able to cover his loans to the Russian mafia and others.
