The Log Revolution folks were treated by mainstream Croatian, Slovenian & Bosnian news as drunkards and buffoons....then all of a sudden they were killing Croats and taking over cities and it wasn’t funny anymore.
The Bosnian & Croatian Serbs admitted that if anyone had shot at them early on, or if the west had started moving troops into the region or backed up the token UN force with bombs, they would’ve quit. The genocide required a ton of people not taking the nationalists seriously, then not standing up to them.
The Muslims in Bosnia got caught flat footed by not arming themselves when the Serbian nationalists started their terrorism..
Nationalism is one of the most destructive forces in human history.
