(10,064 posts)I was only asked for my name and appointment time when I got there.
ETA I did input all that info when I registered online, but I wasn't asked to prove it in person!
had to for my first inoculation, only had to show my vaccination card for the second.

(102,419 posts)they create an entry into their database for future prescriptions or whatever. Ditto at medical clinics. In most of these cases, you've already had to register online to get the appointment so they have most of this data already. If you were never going to continue in any kind of prescription drug, future vaccine, or clinical service relationship and especially if you were uninsured without Medicaid, you could undoubtedly refuse to show id. It would likely freak them out because, you know, "normal procedures," but you probably could. Their lawyers wouldn't approve, given issues that could arise should a severe vaccine reaction occur, but...

(36,160 posts)extra health personnel are made, and match the inventory of shots given. I'm on Medicare and had to provide whatever was required of everyone, most of whom looked younger: ID, proof of residence, appointment registration sheets. It might not be the case in all states, and might even vary within states, but that's my experience.
Once the logistics and supply chain kinks are worked out, by the next pandemic, most will probably go to pharmacies as we have with yearly flu shots, and the rest probably more efficiently distributed in non-urban zip codes.

The reasoning is to ensure they do not scare off undocumented immigrants who ARE eligible.

(658 posts)I was told that I would have to present proof that I was taking blood pressure medicine. I didn't. The doctor told me, and I quote, "You will be getting a shot today". It was that simple.
NO ID, I repeat... NO ID

Ugh, I really just wanted to smack her. Her husband brings out the same exact impulse in me. I hope they haven't reproduced.

(2,636 posts)Um, he didn't call her a liar. He said it was time for conservatives to stop spreading lies.
THat's when she erupted. The preceding deer in the headlights from both women when he said private businesses wanted this, not the government was worth the viewing alone.
She reacted because he hit her smack in the face. Guess she is spreading lies, or she wouldn't turn so defensive. Truth hurts, and ahit dog yelps, and all that.
He didn't name call. But her response was I'n not letting you call me a liar. (he didn't, but you identified yourself as such.) I'm not letting you call Tucker Carlson a conspiracy theorist (he didn't. if she didn't agree with Tucker, she'd not be so offended, at the truth, either) You Democrats always do this... Then she changes the subject and attacks the messenger because she doesn't like his message.
Her reply sounded like an indignant 12 year old.
The entire conservative schtick is so 7th grade.

(14,178 posts)WTF? Who is this host? Another Fox bimbo.
Why did she say that at the end? Her colleague got owned and somehow that must be because she didn't do her job to "own the lib" for her. Or to work it so Mercedes had the last word? She felt bad and that she owed her something because what?........her belief that IF she had done her job better, and all things were equal, the Trump excuser would have "won" the debate. But she allowed the Democrat to sound plausible and get the last word in. Unforgivable.
