Covid-19 Vaccine Skeptics Explain Why They Don't Want The Shot

Convincing skeptics to get the vaccine is easier said than done, especially in rural areas that are heavily Republican. Pineville, Mo., has the lowest vaccination rate in all of the state. NBC News’ Vaughn Hillyard reports from the county where he spoke to residents hesitant to get the Covid-19 shot.

Except for the fact that they are allowing themselves and their communities to become breeding grounds for Covid mutations and variants... I'm perfectly fine with just letting these "heavily Republican" areas just Darwinize themselves into oblivion.

1. The 30 somethings in my office are all coming down with it.

Spreading it to spouses and young children. The ones that wouldn't wear masks around the office, felt they were immune, one week away from their turn to get vaccinated. Now you know why I moved my office home.

Even the ones dying of Covid were yelling at their doctors to "do something" since they thought covid was a hoax.

(gee, I wonder where they could have POSSIBLY heard it was a hoax.....)

5. There is a nasty dynamic between the two parties

If one party expresses concerns about a particular risk, the other is sure to downplay it as a distraction to what the REAL threats are.

I'm not suggesting the behaviors are equivalent.

Democrats raise concerns about climate change, Republicans downplay that and shift the focus to protecting the economy.

Democrats raise concerns about civil rights, Republicans downplay that and shift the focus to government spending.

Democrats raise concerns about the pandemic, Republicans downplay that and shift the focus to immigration.

So here we are, Republicans see the pandemic as a "Democratic issue" and instinctively brush it off. Of course, it should not a partisan issue and this is illogical, self-defeating behavior. Spock would not approve.

Republicans know they need to articulate more convincing reasons to obstruct, so they manufacture these other nonsensical justifications like in the video. Those will improve over time as the premade talking points are developed and disseminated.

10. Hmm. I don't accept the weird presentation of the "skeptic" narrative told here.

To be a skeptic, they have to be well informed. This doesn't show that.

They're fucking dopes. Because of these morons, Covid will remain endemic for the rest of our lifetimes, so let Darwin deal with these shit stains.
