In November of last year, The Washington Times published an opinion piece entitled, "Bahrain, a vital US ally. Backing protesters would betray a friend and harm American security." The article was written by Vice-Admiral Charles Moore, who is now a regional president for Lockheed Martin.

also, Al Qaeda is the MIC's best friend. If protestors can be painted as "terrorists" then all the better for them. The public will continue to endorse massive military spending, the PTB in the Arab world will be protected, and oil will remain in control by the 1%.
