Republicans have filibustered the January 6 commission in the Senate, and are setting the stage to refuse to certify Democratic wins in 2022 and 2024.

1. Manchiun and Sinema admit the present fake filibuster system doesn't work

for anybody but a corrupt old geezer who's drunk on power.

What they need to do is compromise with them, propose a suspension of the filibuster during which a bipartisan committee can work on making it painful and rare instead of a way for one man to hamstring the whole legislative branch on a partisan whim.

And if the bipartisan measure doesn't pass, keep the filibuster suspended until one does pass.

I think they might go for this. Ending it completely and forever is just too drastic a move for a conservative mindset.
