Nearly A Third Of GOP Say Trump Likely To Be Reinstated - The 11th Hour - MSNBC

A new poll shows that 29% of Republicans say it's likely Trump will be reinstated as president. This comes as Elise Stefanik paid a visit to Trump and the party remains resistant to any compromise with Democrats on the Hill. We discuss with Eugene Robinson and Bill Kristol. Aired on 06/09/2021.

that they need to get people elected, republicans have decided to hitch their wagon to crazytown, USA.

I get that they have always pandered to one group or another. Like right wing christians, or anti-abortionists, or wife beaters, or the KKK, but the crazies?

I thought the lizard-form alien thing was way out there, but we have the magneto making anti-vax'er thing now, which may be even farther out there. I wonder how long the dream that Trump will be re-instated is going to last? I still see many US flags being flown upside down, or attached with only one clip (I'm not sure what that even means).

About it. We are a diverse nation, that's nothing new, but these days skin pigmentation or ethnic background is suddenly less acceptable to these outspoken fringe groups than affiliation with a man who blatantly lies, cheats and steals - and violates all the laws and norms on which this government was built - and he doesn't care, so neither do they. How anyone could admire or support anyone with his lack of regard for the majority of U.S. citizens - who have sure been suffering over these past few years - is a total mystery to me.

I'd heard about "The Enabling Act" in high school, but still wondered how it was feasible without many German people accepting it.

Those Trump supporting fascists don't have big enough numbers to get their way, but it's still depressing that there's that many of them.
