Rep. Val Demings, who announced she’s challenging Marco Rubio for his Senate seat, says that Congress needs to investigate the “lawless” actions by Donald Trump and his Justice Dept. for subpoenaing data of some House Democrats and hold those accountable, even if that means “cleaning house” at the Justice Department: “America should be angry about it and we have an obligation to get to the bottom of it and we will.”

2. I have a philosophical POV regarding political campaign donations.

It goes like this. And, BTW, I never reach into my personal cash stash for frivolous expenditures (except top shelf Tequila, learned that from Bartcop).

One of the most liberating days of my life was when I embraced the fact that I am not an exceptional person. That there are people just like me all over. And it extended, logically, that whatever I feel, think or do, there are other, AVERAGE, people out there who have also reached that selfsame threshold of experience. And no matter how out of character my action may be, it will be that for others as well.

That is why when I actually donate to a candidate I do so with the certainty that many others are doing the same. It's another of the chicken vs egg, Schrodinger's cat, Bear in the woods, mankind is a family concepts. One of those points where the battle between fact and faith plays out in consciousness.

So when Val gets my donation, I'm carrying thousands of like-minded folks with me. Sorry Rubio, you just suck too much.
