3. In Lewis's day, it was the Klan and the Dixiecrats and the always present "liberty," liars who

firmly believe there must be a servant class/day labor class, paid very low and kept poor in a a generational way. then a working class, then a middle class and of course the wealthiest as rulers. Of course the middle class and above must be, Whites Only, in their belief and agenda.

The "Liberty" boys, tried to coup FDR, followed by backing Senator Joe McCarthy's Commie chasers, followed by John Birchers, followed by Heritage foundation followed by the Republican political party.

4. It is a great book, and I also recommend "Arrowsmith" by Lewis as well.

You will be shocked to read some of the things that come out of the mouths of doctors who are his colleagues, I know I said to myself "these people have always been the same, many do not care to cure, they care to make the money". I know not all doctors are that way, I have friends who are doctors and I see both sides, some of them are very dedicated and some are just there for the money.

There is also about a pandemic in the book, which I found very interesting as well.
