(31,109 posts)and the sad news is we have all but accepted Voter ID across the nation, where in reality there should not be a single place where it is required.

(4,845 posts)Many countries including one I used to live in has government issued personal ID that is also used to identify the person when voting. But along with it, it should allow for same day registration for voting, none of those non-sense 3-10+ hours of waiting in line to vote. Of course, that means people should be able to get the voter ID easily (similar to how easy people can get a driver license). Also, the price should be heavily subsidized for low income families.
Again, personally, I have no problem with voter ID in general. Though, the problem is the republicans use voter ID as a tool to leave poor people and people of color out of the voter roll.

Or if the government comes to your door and hands it to you.

(2,690 posts)In fact he chastised the Democrat for even asking the question saying Im not answering your question. Im the one who asks the questions. His whole approach was to talk over the guy, to prevent him from saying anything. This is what Fox pays 8 figure salaries to: a greasy haired, empty-headed, big mouthed fascist who admits he never washes his hands after he goes to the bathroom. (No, seriously, he made that claim proudly on FOX. If you ever see this guy in public and he extends his hand to you, run like hell!)
Kudos to the Texas state representative for getting into the ring with this bastard. I only hope he was able to take a shower soon after.
