Will teachers/staff and students 12-and-up be required to be vaccinated?? There were several breakouts in local schools here in New York even with the mask mandate - even among the youngest kids - in place. But now that we have the Delta variant which is affecting young kids, the mask mandate was rescinded in July.

5. Florida's response: "Hold My Beer and Watch This!"

According to this morning's WaPo COVID page, Louisiana has the highest daily reported cases, at 93; while Florida is a close second at 82. U.S. overall total: 27 daily-reported new cases per 100,000.

School resumes in less than a week. Our mass-murdering GOOBERnor, Ron DeathSentence, is threatening to withhold state funds from any school district that doesn't conform to his "let the parents decide" approach as to whether or not their children should mask-up. President Biden nailed it:

“I say to these governors: Please help. But if you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way,” Biden said. “The people are trying to do the right thing. Use your power to save lives.”

When asked specifically about Republican Govs. Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas, Biden said that “their decisions are not good for their constituents.” DeSantis signed an executive order last week that prohibits schools from requiring masks, and Abbott signed an order that bans local governments and state agencies from mandating vaccines.
