because he's already in it to some small degree.

Whether it actually be or not, there is potential for the appearance of conflicts of interest on the part of CNN.

I think it was last week that Chris announced that his show would become "COVID central" implying that he would only deal with COVID stories for an entire hour every day.

Obviously, he and CNN saw the issues coming fast with Andrew.

Don Lemon is reporting on it solely because it is the number one story and it needs to be covered.

My opinion is that the sooner Andrew is out of the news, the better. He should resign immediately!

Frankly, none of the three people mentioned in this post are favorites of mine. I like CNN during the day and MSNBC in the evening.

So, yes. His conflict of interest could scarcely be more acute. I think it is wise for CNN to require him to cover any story other than those even tangentially related to his brother. Don Lemon, on the other hand (and other hosts/anchors) should not go soft on coverage.

For Chris, both his involvement in messaging and his frequent involvement of his brother in interviews related to COVID response the past 18 months may well cost him as well. At some point, CNN may find the involvement crossed the line.

Saying he can’t comment on it. That was months ago though.

“Obviously, I’m aware of what’s going on with my brother,” Chris Cuomo said on Monday. “Obviously, I cannot cover it because he is my brother. Now, of course CNN has to cover it. They have covered it extensively and they will continue to do so.”

Cuomo and Lemon. Cuomo has "recused" himself from talking about his brothers situation from the start of it. He and Lemon appear to be friends at least in a work colleague sort of way. It doesn't seem unusual to me that they would not lmspend a lot of time talking during the show handoff when Lemon has to open with breaking news on his brother.

That's really understating it.

These guys define the term "bromance." Every night they banter and often talk about what great friends they are and how the families all spend time together.

It gets insufferable when they talk about spending weekends on Cuomo's boat.

These past two days, it's been quite a contrast. As soon as the handoff is over, Lemon immediately changes tone and goes hard into the Andrew Cuomo situation.

I have no love of any of these guys, but I do like my CNN. And so, it's what's on the TV as I do my work.

has a job to do and it is not unreasonable to let Cuomo taking a pass on reporting on his brothers scandal. However Don Lemon can't. I suspect that they are still friends but have tempered the chit chat bec as use if would be awkward to transition from that to Lemon opening with the top story of the scandal.

But it's not related to this. The man is not the same as his brother, until we see evidence to the contrary.
