I imagine a lot of methane is going up as well, this being the Arctic tundra with all that "frozen" decomposed mass in the ground being thawed out and/or fired up.

Reminded me of this Robert Frost poem:

Fire and Ice
BY ROBERT FROST
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

You and Sheltie Lover are the best, really. I look forward to reading your posts and possibly having an interaction or two. You have no idea how much you have helped to get me out of my isolation mindset.

That has to be the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me here. I have been here for a little while and I've gotten to know quite a few people through their posts here and I do look for certain ones, too. And that certainly includes thoughtful posters like you. In these stressful times, it means so much.

A short glance into the not-so-distant future and it appears that life will be wild enough for everyone's taste.
