ABC Tried to Bury This James Baldwin Interview. Four Decades Later, It's Blisteringly Relevant.

Buried by ABC at the time, the segment has resurfaced over four decades later, revealing a unique glimpse into Baldwin’s private life—as well as his resounding criticism about white fragility, as blisteringly relevant today as it was in 1979.

I like how it's so low key and relaxed, unlike todays interviews where everyone is squared off and everything is rehearsed.

Anyone know who the interviewer was?

I've also seen a Baldwin interview on Dick Cavitt reruns, which I think are on Amazon Prime. Also on Prime is a 1967 appearance by Dr. Martin Luther King on The Merv Griffin Show! Each are just as relevant as this ABC segment.
