3. It's especially sad and scary to think

that no one around her, not family or friends, was willing or able to look at that sign and say, "You know, if you don't want to look like an idiot you might check your spelling."

I mean, in this photo there's at least one other sign holder, presumably another supporter of her position. You'd think he or she might slip her a clue, but evidently not.
