Why Trump's Frivolous Executive Privilege Lawsuit Will Fail AND Why It Won't Help Steve Bannon

Not surprisingly, Donald Trump has filed yet another lawsuit trying to hide from Congress and, by extension, the American people, evidence of his criminal conduct in connection with the January 6 attack on the US Capitol and our democracy. The case has been assigned to Judge Tanya Chutkan, a former public defender in the courts of Washington, DC, and a smart, strong and fearless federal judge.

1. Even if he testifies, he's going to say he had no knowledge that people

were going to overpower police and break into Capitol.

However, getting him to testify will set some kind of precedent.

2. Mr. Bannon. Did you refer to the January 6 event as a revolution of historic importance?

What's he going to say? That he's an entertainer? That his only interest is the deconstruction of the administrative state?

So many choices...

3. Wait and see. And yes, he will say his job is to attract followers, viewers,

listeners, etc. Anyone paying attention knew there was going to be a March on DC on January 6th weeks before it happened.

Now, if someone has a video, email, audio, etc., of Bannon or trump directing something like OathKeepers from Alabama to assemble at east wing of Capitol, he and his associates will be in deep chit.

Don’t think that will happen. But, heck, we’ve been hoping trump and associates would go down since November 2016.

To be clear, would love for these MFers to go down. But, I learned my lesson during Fitzmas. Woke up every night checking DU to see bush arrested. Still waiting.
