The grifters would bleed every possible penny out of the postal system into the privatized "owners" banks accounts.

if they get away with this privatization their next target will be the Social Security System. Our earned retirement benefits transferred to the super-rich.

The Dejoys and Trumps in this world are perfectly happy dismantling brick by brick any pockets of perceived cash.

Ending with a few haves and millions of workers and servants working to keep the money flowing up to the rich.

It's already happening. See any Medicare Advantage plan. They take Social Security funds and pay private insurance companies with our money.

Then they pay old has-been actors and sports heroes for myriad tv ads proclaiming how everyone who gets an Advantage plan will get all kinds of free benefits plus $144 more Social Security deposited in their bank account every month. With never a mention of co-pays, closed doctor networks, payment caps, or their premiums - "your policy MAY cost you nothing".

Turns my stomach every time Joe Namath pops up on my screen.

And oh. Did I even mention the 5 to ten flyers that deJoy delivers to my house every day in November trying to get me to sign up?

5. IMO the punishment should be that his business becomes nationalized under the USPS

with postal unions representing employees during the "emergency". Compensation to DeJoy and other owners to be determined by a committee of Veterans, retirees, SSI and SSD recipients and others who depend on the USPS for important mail, payments, and prescriptions along with a cross-section of voters from states like mine who depend on vote by mail for EVERY election.

An additional penance suggested was that he be forced to spend 6 months driving one of the local service trucks which moves package mail between Pittsburgh and Oshkosh by way of Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Omaha including 3 national holidays and at least 1 major Blizzard or Hurricane, with time added for each delayed delivery of posted items.
