(81,265 posts)I find it no recommendation whatsoever to qualify a candidate looking to serve as a United States Senator. Unless ones objective is to run around the room knocking people down?
Ive never been a fan of football, and Ill never completely understand the appeal. Its nothing but organized brutality to me. I feel for the players who bet their bodies and their health for the chance at wealth and fame from an incredibly violent game. Those who love it, well, okay. Enjoy. But big football game days were always a good opportunity to go shopping. Traffics tended to be less of an issue, and you could always find a parking place!
Im just grateful our son never went out for football. He was the music kid in school. He didnt do football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, whatever. But man could he do guitar!

(17,374 posts)I mean, I follow football, but I acknowledge that it's one of the few sports that requires all players to wear a FULL SUIT OF ARMOR.
As for Walker, the bigwigs in the GOP will never let him anywhere NEAR the presidential nomination. Or, if he somehow grabs the nomination, he'll be about as successful as Mitt Romney...too many of their racist base will sit at home on Election Day.

(6,829 posts)if a pistol has 6 bullets and the game is played 6 times, i think the probability of blowing his brains out is 100%?
And I wonder how the others he was playing with fared?
I'm surprised at least one in this motley crew wasn't arrested for mailing anthrax or blowing up pipe bombs!
or propositioning girl scouts for sex.

(1,910 posts)Its just not working with independents. We keep pointing out how bad their candidates are but saying we are not them is a losing effort.
Independents only care about crime, borders, freedom from 'wokeness', and China, thats it. Right now these are the buttons Repugs are pushing in VA and what they will push in 2022 and 2024.
We are losing this messaging battle.
