I am not a "comics" reader so didn't know about this strip...only of it! Amazing.

The OP comic came out four months before my youngest child was born. He grew up with this comic.
Kids of that generation (at least some, anyway) learned to appreciate comics the way we adults appreciated standup comedy about current, serious things. Looks like both work to expand basic morality even better than kings' jesters did.
I'm riffing on what my son posted today to remind folks just how long COP26 has been "aware" of Earth's problems. Because I'm afraid for his and the world's children's future.
