As Trump has signaled to some of his current and former staff that he won't cover legal bills related to Jan. 6, some are considering taking legal action to force him to, according to one former senior Trump adviser.

A person close to the Trump legal team efforts contradicts the statement by the former senior adviser, saying several people have their legal bills covered and that Trump ally Matt Schlapp is involved in raising money for it.
