Hillary, pre-election, had assembled a rapid reactionary group.......A friend of mine out in LA was one of the leaders of the group.
In the evening, after all the Repub BS had been spewed for the day, her group went to work and produced an ad spot that night, and by the 6am news cycle the next morning Hillary was in front of the network news laying the previous days Republican rhetoric to whale shit. It worked really really well.
It was completely counter re-active and not just defending herself like the Repubs wanted her to do.......
The thing the Dems can never prevent is what some of us have called the "October Surprise" that the Repubs are infamous for.
A last minute dump of some BS that the Dems can't act quick enough to discredit before election day.
James Comey, and his crap "new emails" rhetoric ten days before the election was solely responsible for Clinton losing as far as I'm concerned. It was a completely fabricated pile of shit, but it did the trick......
The first time the Repubs did this last minute "October Surprise" gimmick was Ronald Reagan's piracy of the election*....
They have done this over and over again because it works like a charm in a tight election.....
*( in reality there was no Reagan Administration, it was completely run by HWBush/Cheney/Wolfowitz/Etc)
For twenty recent years, that same exact group has been in charge and hell bent on destroying the Dems and Democracy, as well as the entire middle class. Then the Republicans had the racist, brainwashed, Trump Crowd of Republican's take over to hammer it home!)
