Missouri 'Stand Your Ground' Bill Critiqued As Racist 'Make Murder Legal Act' - The ReidOut - MSNBC

A Missouri bill that critics call the ‘Make Murder Legal Act'’ is now being debated. If passed, it would result in murders being considered justified if the perpetrator claims self-defense--and it will prohibit police from detaining those suspected of violence as long as they make that same claim. Joy Reid and her panel discuss. Aired on 02/03/2022.

Why is it that white people are never in fear for their lives when confronting other white people?

Tennessee wants to deputize anyone with a carry permit.

Abbott in Texas wants to "eliminate" rape in his state.

Stand your Ground doesn't apply to Black or Brown folks. SYG laws are also NRA ALEC specials--boilerplate that extends the castle doctrine and makes the world the white man's castle.

The Racism is overt now, and worse than I've ever seen it in 50 years. Obama, Harris, and just the *idea* of a Black woman SC jurist has caused the xenophobic racist right to lose what little grasp on reality they had.
