Maxmizes popularity. Everyone gets the chance to hear the position they agree with. The media never reports the conflict.

… because the USSR was long-dead by then (2016), and I thought Russia was weak.

However, it was not long after Trump took office that I ate my words. Mitt Romney might have misspoken when he said USSR and meant Russia — but he was right. Oy, was he correct.

I could wish for him to have more of a spine when it comes to standing up to the GOP, but his brains work fine and on the whole he is no fool.

by voting for, and convince his fellow Senators to also vote for, the Voting Rights Act.

Until he, and them, just like they always did before the "nearly traitorous" criminal scumbag stole the WH with his "Russia if you're listening" horror show, vote to pass it (to save our democracy). If he doesn't do that simple ACTION (his JOB), he can flap his mouth all he wants: I will only reply "GFY" to him, because without the passage of that bill, our democracy will die in January 2024. The putin terrorist with nukes will welcome back the lying orange terrorist to the gang of dictatorial psychopaths, and his ugly offsprings to follow after him.
