The People's Convoy drove by California Assembly-member Buffy Wicks' home on Friday in protest of upcoming bills. The controversial Assembly Bill 2223 by Wicks is one of the main bills that the convoy members have opposed in recent weeks. As the convoy drove by the neighborhood in Oakland, people blocked the road, threw eggs and hurled insults at the convoy participants. The convoy which started in Adelanto, CA in February, traveled across the country to Washington D.C. and back to California. The People's Convoy is planning to stay near Sacramento, CA for at least a week.

Take down the plate numbers and file complaints of being a public nuisance and disrupting local businesses. Post the plate numbers on social media.

Given the circumstances, the free-dumb riders will not likely be able to mitigate egg damage to their shiny phallic symbols.

You have to clean the egg off the paint as soon as possible. Left to sit (especially in hot weather or in direct sunlight) the egg will etch its way through the clear coat and into the base colored coat of the paint finish. At that point, the area will have to be repainted to restore the original condition. For this reason, timing is of the essence!

Clean the area without causing any more paint damage. DON'T use paper towels, old rags or any other cloth/applicator that will scratch the surface. Also, don't use glass cleaner which is designed for cleaning glass.

With your car in the shade so that the paint finish is cool to the touch, wash your car with car wash shampoo, or, if your car is already clean, wash the area to be treated with a quick detailer like to remove any loose dust or debris in the affected area so you won't cause additional damage.
