High School Football Ban Proposal

" A retired New Hampshire doctor and school board member has caused an uproar with his proposed ban on high school football, saying the game is too dangerous for underage students.

High school football is an American institution, so when Dr. Paul Butler advanced what many people believe is a radical idea at a sparsely attended meeting in Dover, N.H., the former high school football player caused a commotion near and far.

"We have a moral imperative to at least begin the process of ending this game." Butler told "Good Morning America."

"The literature is clear. This is a dangerous game for children to be playing." * Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) break down the realities of high schol football and present comments on the possible ban.

*Read more from Dan Harris/ABC News

(Cenk played football while in high school, so he has a knowledgeable angle to this story.)

that played football at division 1 universities. None of them allows their sons to play football. All 3 of them are old beyond their age, having problems getting out of bed some days etc. And these guys are relatively young (40-ish). They know how damaging this sport can be.

Only weighed 125 pounds (what a difference 50 years makes!) I'm the only one that doesn't have infirmaries stemming from that sport. 'Course motorcycling and other red neck activities (Hey ya'll! Watch this!) have left their mark.
