The voters replaced the guy who won't leave - so he should leave! But the governor's hands are apparently tied - and, watching this again, I remembered. Because he's a Democratic governor this time around, the powers of his office were curtailed compared to his Republican predecessor - even though he was the choice of the people!

WI been warning the rest of US that you would be next….since 2009..

However, even on DU, I read things like “WI got what it voted for…yada yada yada….”

Now, the world is full of Scott Walkers, Paul Ryans and Ron Johnsons.

Is the US getting what it voted for?

Senator Russ Feingold was very clear when the Extreme Court allowed the flood of secret money into our political system (Citizens United, 2010). He knew how bad it was going to get.
Later than year in November, Scott Walker (aka Wanker) was elected governor and Ron Johnson (What were you doing in Moscow July 4, 2028?) was elected US senator, and the downfall of good government in Wisconsin entered free fall.
Wisconsin citizens have fought massively and persistently, yet the RepubliQan gerrymandering of 2011 makes it all uphill.
Thank goodness for Governor Tony Evers, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, Secretary of State Doug LaFollette, Attorney General Josh Kaul, and Treasurer Sarah Godlewski, all Democrats who won statewide election in 2018. (Gerrymandering does not work in statewide elections.)
We are working to re-elect Governor Evers and elect a fine Democrat* for US Senate to work with our great senator Tammy Baldwin.
* We'll know who after August 9 primary.
