Ukraine's border with Belarus is seeing a troubling military build-up. Western intelligence agencies say Russian soldiers and weapons systems are ready and waiting in Belarus to open a new front against Ukraine — something that would stretch Kyiv's forces considerably. DW’s Nick Connolly went to the border region near Chernihiv to see for himself.

but Putin is pushing the dictator of doing so. But alas this could further open the door for Belarus' opposition to take back a rightfully voted government and install the true winner.

2. No doubt they will invade, but it will be russian soldiers not Belarusian

The war is very unpopular in Belarus as is the dictator. He knows if he commits troops to the fight his reign will probably end and Russia may even lose control over the country.

Russia may have equipment built up there, the man power is the problem.
