I suspect that having put the state through an unnecessary jury trial, he's going to be facing a somewhat longer sentence. Spending it in the DC luckup will make it harder time than prison would be.

Or would it be probation? I would think if it were probation it would be in addition to the time served .. I'd love to see him get a year or two of probation tacked on. Meeting the requirements will be a real ignominy to someone like him (i.e. arrogant) - and if one violates probation one can get amuch stiffer sentence than the lengthof the probation ...

6. I think you're correct. But probation is not necessarily early release.

On a state rap, one can get probation as part of the initial sentencem thogh (as in x month in prison plus y years probation) and it was such a delicious thought I couldn't resist wishing.
