The funniest part about Republicans tripping over themselves to defend Donald Trump's potentially criminal behavior is that there's literally no need for them to do that. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for the Republicans to rally around the twice-impeached former President who holds no power, but they did it without hesitation.
