Books, signs colors..all have to comply to their rules. No freedom of expression. Very scary and they’re getting scarier

When I was in the very early grades, we said a "school prayer" along with the Pledge of Allegiance. All I can remember was that it ended with "our parents, our teachers and our country." Then one day we learned that we were no longer doing that - one student was asked to time a "moment of silence" where we could "pray to ourselves" if we wanted. Then that disappeared, too, and nobody seemed to miss it. And I was in elementary school.

And in Massachusetts it was a private school. Religion classes were required. But I'm talking about my public elementary school in New York. School prayer (even though I don't recall it being particularly religious - and we lived in a fairly diverse community) was struck down in the '60s.

Though it wasn't religious - and she was in it! So I'm guessing that this was shut down, too. So how is pushing Christianity in schools permitted at this late date??

Too bad you couldn't sneak into the school and rearrange the letters. The kids would certainly find it outrageously humorous!

and all three of his sons graduated from Grapevine High School. I also performed with my college band at the high school and at the Methodist church when we went on tour in 1985.
