Day 1 of Oath Keepers Trial: prosecutors lay out a strong case for seditious conspiracy - Kirschner

Opening statements in the Oath Keepers case made out a strong case for the guilt of the five defendants on trial. Assistant United States Attorney Jeffrey Nestler laid out the government case. It's a case that involves an unusually large amount of direct evidence (as opposed to circumstantial evidence) of guilt: videos of the defendants breaching the US Capitol; video of some of the defendants bragging about "taking the Capitol"; written communications about the planning of the operation; and more.

This video reviews the opening statements and highlights some of the strongest points the prosecution made in today's presentation to the jury. - Glenn Kirschner - 10/03/2022.
