although I understand why DOJ might want to attribute it to that.

I think is actually because the MAGAts in the GQP House, running around "investigating (teanslation" harassing, impeding, impeaching even) people in the administration, including Merrick Garland, whom they have threaened by name, made it necessary. They can't touch a Special Counsel. So now they van "investigate" garland all day, every day, without slowing down the investigaiton. But do I expect Garland to say that publicly? Not on your life.

That - and the three Grand Juries I hear have been convened - give me hope.

It hasn't occurred to very many people. But, being old enough tp remember both Watergate and the Clinton impeachment. I really thought it was the only thing that made sense.
