Kevin McCarthy's latest legislative thuggery: tells DHS Secretary Mayorkas, "resign or be impeached"

Representative Kevin McCarthy is prone to political bullying. Recent reporting relates, "McCarthy Calls for DHS Secretary Mayorkas to Resign or Face Impeachment."

McCarthy's latest legislative thuggery is reminiscent of the threats he leveled approximately a year ago when he learned that telecom companies and social media platforms were cooperating with the January 6 House select committee's investigation of the insurrection. McCarthy told the companies that if they cooperated, "the Republicans would not forget it."

These kind of political threats represent a gross abuse of power and office. - Glenn Kirschner - 11/25/2022.

that the Senate, not the House which impeaches, decides the outcome the House brings on someone? And since Dems control the senate now, whatever bs threat he envisions for Mayorkas isn't going to happen.

How do these not too swift clowns get in these positions?

Democrats control the senate? We'll probably have 51 Senate votes against after the Georgia run-off, so WTF is McCarthy thinking with that foolish threat? Mayorkas won't be convicted by the Senate if he carries out an impeachment.

Again, how do these not too bright guys get in such high places? Wait...I'd better take that back, it's looking like McCarthy might not even make it as Speaker of the House as Rep. Gaetz has already announced he and a few other republicans are against McCarthy. And he certainly won't get any Dem votes.

It's to have a public forum to embarrass the administration in front of all the TV cameras.

Speaker Pelosi knew damn well that the McConnell Senate wasn't going to convict Trump either regardless. McCarthy is doing the same exact thing.

Democrats held 2 impeachment hearings, so they need to one up the opposition.

In how to conduct an impeachment trial in the Senate.

1) The knowledge by the House Impeachment managers of the incidents that led to impeachment was key.

2) How the evidence was presented.

3) Most of the Managers for the Democrats are Prosecutors who know how to present a convincing case.

Who do the Republicans have? What evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors will convict Democrats? Talk about a CLOWN SHOW that will not have the votes in the Senate to convict.
