On Monday, there were explosions at two Russian airbases hundreds of kilometers behind the frontlines. While they haven't claimed responsibility for the attack, this suggests Ukraine's drone capability could be a real threat to Putin's invasion & regime.

The black eye for Putin and his high command isn't so much that a couple of bases were hit and a couple of cruise missile fitted bombers were knocked out permanently (no parts), it's that an old drone system was able to evade all their systems and do the job so easily.
Russians woke up to the realization that they've been lied to about how safe they are. Putin's not doing his job.

(111,277 posts)but the Russian propaganda machine was ginned up and is still belching out lies no sane person would ever believe. You know, the way US news bleated about Saddam's chemical weapons in 2002-3 so Cheney could have his war for oil.
Wars are wasteful of human lives and national treasuries and are to be avoided unless one's country is being invaded by a madman.
Sadly, the world seems to be producing a bumper crop of madmen, all hungry for land and resources that don't belong to them.
