The victims of this bullshit aren't stupid people, per se, they've just been led to draw faulty conclusions by half truths and lies, doled out to them very carefully in a slick psyops operation. People who fall for it lack adequate bullshit detectors.

Government in his country has been caught napping mostly because the initial conspiracies from that asshole in South Africa who started the whole thing were so hilariously farfettched. This is now an international problem and it's growing more dangerous.
