Add this to her Greatest Hits reel. Lake started with excellent name / face recognition and a significant GOP registration advantage and crapped the bed in glorious fashion. What is wrong with her brain? Do any right politicians believe in appealing to the mass electorate anymore? I am just talking appeal, as we know they gave up representing all but their most rabid base.
Lake lost because she is repulsive and some of the things that came out of her mouth were gross and unworthy of a person desiring to represent the public. Here are my favs - paraphrased.
1. She went after the press. She said she would be their worst nightmare and they would have learn how to be journalists. As if she was some great leader of journalists. To top it off, she boldly claimed "For the next 8 years". Ha.. She not only thought she was a gimme for 1 term, she was already proclaiming victory in 2026.
2. In a crowd of GOP, she asked if there were any McCain republicans in the crowd. After they responded, she told them to get the hell out. Imagine that? A perfect opportunity to reach out and bridge that gap.. NOPE. F that. Did she think she could usurp the legacy of McCain by being a newscaster? WTF? John won actual elections quite a few times in AZ. Statewide too, not these Gerry-ed districts like Biggs and Gosar. McCain has an airport terminal named after him. Does she think AZ is going to forget who he was?
3. Lake went off on the BDE of GOP turds like Trump and Desantis. Bringing BDE into the political world is just gross. It is unfathomable why someone would bring sexual characteristics into a public event. I dont mean to go all PMRC, but parents watching political bs with their kids should not have to explain BDE or why that might be noteworthy. It is just stupid, crude and does not belong on a political stage. It is exactly the moral degradation that old GOP would have decried. To the rest of the voters, she was embarrassing. What culty thing will she say next?
Lake imploded. Interesting to see how Blake Masters conceded quick. With Sinema going.. Full Sinema, the GOP contender is going to get a lot of attention and national funding. If Lake would have taken her beating like a big girl, she might have been a tough out in 2024. Now? I continue to learn that people have an incredibly short political memory, but people are LAUGHING at Kari Lake. She is a national joke and I believe there is no comeback. Why would Trump want her on the ticket? She gives him nothing. She would be subservient and fully supportive of his lunacy.. Maybe that would be enough or the best he can find.
Lake was a dangerous candidate in AZ. She was perfect GOP, as she was a shallow celebrity that never talked about policy. There were no political commitments and she could have later gone full Desantis with never ending crazy. If her ego and perception of self importance were so humongous before election - imagine the size of that noggin after winning. Add this ARM salute to the opposition TV ads. She is a nut bar.
