3. Growing up Catholic, we were not on a first name basis with our deity.

And we would refer to Christ as the "son of God."

And we used the term "Christ" not "Jesus."

At least back in the day when Joe was growing up.
And in the Catholic Church I attended when young.

We would say "Jesus" only when referring to "baby Jesus" at Christmas time.

All the Jesus talk seems so blasphemous.

I attended a protestant churchservice with a neighbor a couple of years ago
and was aghast and all the Jesus this and Jesus that talk.

Like Christ was some guy they had beer with and watched football on the weekends.

Protestant church hymnal, song books, and teaching materials. Most Protestant churches I've been to encourage the familiarity to promote belief, faith, closeness to Diety.

7. Yes I know. But the point is that Biden is being unfairly criticized.

We grew up with the opposite teaching on this issue.

Christ was a deity and on a different level from us.

So we don't act up close and personal with Christ on a first name basis.

And I cannot remember Catholics referring to God all the time either.
It was not a common topic of every day conversation.

For example my aunt was a Catholic nun and visited us often.
I never once heard her talk about God.
Same thing with my uncle who was a priest.

I am not disrespecting those who are into daily Jesus talk.

Just trying to explain where Biden is coming from.

4. But they don't care that Trump never mentions Jesus or has any decent religious messages

Guess MAGAS have to try to diminish Joe's obvious faith and respect for Christianity in order to deflect from hateful, deranged, and totally un-Christian holiday messages issued by their leader.

5. That's what I don't get. Joe Biden is a devout Catholic who regularly attends church.

TFG has no Christian values, doesn't know how to behave in a church (George H.W. Bush's funeral) and his last appearance at a church involved gassing the staff working there so he could stage a photo appearance there holding a Bible upside down.

8. It is just a way to poke at Biden. GOP doesn't care about religion.

tRUMP is offering to make the Church the POWER behind the pRezidency.

Biden lives his life according to God's Will and does his best to be an example of a President who actually CARES about Americans.

He had a Christmas Service at the White House Christmas Eve.
He visited kids in the hospital.
He called on soldiers who were away from their loved ones and thanked them for their service.

Mark 10:17 -- Is the story of the Rich Man who wanted to know how to get to Heaven

Mar 10:19
You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’[fn]”
Mar 10:20
“Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.”
Mar 10:21
Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.
Mar 10:22
At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

JESUS then told his followers:

Mar 10:25
In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”

IN A BIBLE STUDY I LEARNED WHAT THIS MEANT.

IN Jerusalem there is a smaller gate called the Eye of the Needle because it is smaller than the others. Basically, in order to go through it with a camel a person has to get off the camel and walk AND if there is a lot of baggage on the camel, it has to be unpacked from the camel on one side and repacked on the other side.

SO Jesus was saying that the rich have a lot more baggage than the average person. This makes it much more work for them to get into Heaven.

When you think of how easy it is for someone with lots of money to become INSANE with desire for POWER over others, it makes sense. Having all that you want can leave you wanting more.

A person whose soul is good wants to give that MORE to others and share their blessings.

THOSE people are the sheep who follow the words and deeds of Jesus and give to others because they know it is the right thing to do.

Not sheeple who follow ANY shepherd, but people who don't see themselves as above others and when they see someone in need they feel compassion and DO SOMETHING about it.
