Which were necessary for our survival as a country back then - our forefathers carried guns to defend the new country, the current "gun rights" Republicans supported the insurrection to overthrow it.

While her parents argued with a gun present. This woman is amazing. She is brave and strong and I’m so glad we have her on our side!

Nor did I know about her husband (who she was elected to succeed) keeping a gun under his pillow! I looked him up and he was first sworn in by Sam Rayburn in 1955! He was considered a moderate liberal and holds the record as the longest-serving member of Congress in U.S. history. And at the beginning of every Congress, he introduced a bill providing for a national health insurance system, the same bill that his father proposed while he was in Congress. Sounds like she's upholding the family's progressive traditions and I agree that we're so fortunate to have her.
