Stammering Tucker Carlson Swears He Loves Trump After Text Messages Said Otherwise - Ring of Fire

During a radio interview this week, a stammering and stuttering Tucker Carlson said that he was "enraged" that his text messages declaring his hatred for Donald Trump were revealed as part of Dominion's lawsuit against Fox News, and he swears that it was just a knee-jerk reaction to what was happening at the time. Carlson reaffirmed his love for Trump, but the damage is likely already done. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Tucker Carlson has absolutely enraged folks over the fact that his text messages sent to his good friend Sean Hannity and Laura Ingram and his producers were leaked as a result of the court filings from Dominion Voting Systems and their ongoing defamation lawsuit against Fox News. But specifically Tucker Carlson in an interview with a ABC radio this week, said that he was furious over the text messages where he said that he hates Trump passionately, he is angry that those text messages leaked out to the world because apparently they've caused a world of problems for Tucker Carlson. Here is what he said during that interview this week, I think this is in the text, and those were all grabbed completely illegitimately, in my opinion, um, in this court case, which I guess I'm not allowed to talk about, but I'm enraged that my private texts were pulled. Oh, let's see. I spent four years defending his policy and I, I'm going to defend them again tonight. And actually, and I'm pretty straightforward. I'm, um, I love Trump, like as a person. I think Trump is funny and insightful, and I said this to Trump when he called me, you know, all wounded about those texts. That was a moment in time where I was absolutely infuriated.

I love the stuttering and stammering, and I love the fact that the Hill actually did include this in their, uh, uh, quotes from Tucker Carlson in that RA radio interview, cuz it just shows that the guy was like, put on the spotlight. Like I, uh, um, uh, I, I mean, I, I love Trump as, as a person. He's funny, he's insightful, and I, um, uh, oh, uh, yeah, you weren't prepared to have to answer that question, were you? But you did say those things and look, Tucker, I get it sometimes the heat of the moment. You say things that maybe go a little too far. You, you say things you end up regretting. But this was, you know, you thought about this for a while before you said it. You were angry about what that man had done to your job. You were angry about what they had put you through, and now you're out there saying, I'm gonna defend his policies again tonight.

What about the text message where you said that Trump's presidency was basically a non-starter, where you admitted in your text messages that if you look back at his four years in office, he did nothing. He did nothing. You said, and you're actually right about that. And I think that's a point that more people need to hit on All these Republicans out there showering Donald Trump with adoration, the members of his little, uh, uh, uh, death cult. Y'all gotta understand this man really didn't do anything as president, and he sure as hell didn't do anything good for you as president, we had the tax cuts at the end of his first year in 2017. We had portions of a border wall built that's already now falling apart and rusting to pieces. We had a trade war that's still being waged today

That sent farmers into record numbers of bankruptcies here in the United States. All of those jobs and factories, he said, were coming back to the United States. None of them actually came back. You want me to continue, or do you think you got a hold of how bad he was as president? All you got from him were tax cuts and a trade war. That's it. I mean, and that doesn't even begin to touch the last year of his administration when we were all dying of Covid.
