(250,615 posts)He has no experience in government, not city, not state, and he has no knowledge of government, nor laws, and how they work. Not to mention he's been an offensive blowhard, sounding off and insulting everyone, our military, our allies, former presidents and fellow candidates, women - from day #1.
And his behavior while in office was even worse, alienating our allies, praising and courting our anti-democratic adversaries - and now he wants to dispense with democracy, on which this country was founded, and yet there are American citizens who plan to vote for him?! Why is this disgraced twice impeached indicted anti-democratic individual even allowed to run to lead the government he's charged with attempting to overthrow??

(11,780 posts)I could kind of see people thinking voting for an outsider would be a good idea. Since he was unknown Im more understanding of that, but now he is a very well known individual. Anyone who would vote for him should lose their right to vote, they obviously dont believe in American democracy. Or even reality for that matter.

I couldn't wait for the election to be over so I'd never have to see or hear him again. And that was seven years ago, shows what I know.

(250,615 posts)The January 6th insurrectionists have been identified, charged, tried, convicted and jailed - while their "leader" who called them to the Capitol not only remains free to incite others - but now he's allowed to run to lead the government that he attempted to overthrow??
