4. Why the hell was Pres. Obama meeting this person on an airport tarmac in the first place?

What purpose would be served by this?

5. It's pretty common practice

Presidents are greeted by Mayors and Governors on tarmacs all the time and have been for practically as long as Presidents have traveled by plane.

6. Maybe because she's the governor of the state he was visiting and landing in.

And maybe he had a few words he wanted to say regarding her ridiculous book.
